GRAMPERIJADA

There’s no place in the world that celebrates and honors the humble potato quite like Kaštelir! This small Istrian town is incredibly proud of its famous “Gramperijada” – the potato festival – held every summer and organized by the Municipality of Kaštelir-Labinci and the local Tourist Board.

Only in the Kaštelir-Labinci area is the potato called gramper, which inspired the unique name of this event, where you can always enjoy creative dishes with the potato as the main star.
The festival also features a rich entertainment program – exciting competitions for kids and adults, sports events, loads of great music to get everyone singing and dancing, and a variety of local products served up by farms from the region.
