If you want to experience a part of the local indigenous atmosphere and participate in a workshop for making homemade pasta and cakes (gnocchi, žbirići, fritule, kroštuli (). Everything prepared with our homemade raw materials and seasoned with extra virgin olive oil of our own production.
Make an appointment and visit us, we will be very happy to host you at our household.
Domestic and foreign tourists who stay in some of the many Kastela villas or pass here on agency bicycle tours come to Lucija Venier’s household to learn how to work. Homemade pasta and cake making workshops are part of the tourist offer of the Lucija Venier family farm and her family. He receives guests and teaches them how to cook at home in a very nice, rustic and homely space that could easily pass as a restaurant or tavern, at least agritourism. But still not. Ms. Lucija wanted to register agritourism, but this proved too complicated and too bureaucratic for her household, which is primarily agricultural.
On six hectares of the campaign, they grow vines, olives, lavender, wheat, vegetables and food for their chickens and rabbits, which in itself is a lot of work for Lucija Venier and her husband Ecija, son Andrea, daughter Erika and son-in-law Aleš. Therefore, it registered culinary workshops as a supplementary activity of its family farm. Here by appointment you can come with an organized group and learn how to mix homemade pasta and prepare homemade cakes, and then what you made in the workshop you can cook and taste together with the hostess.
In addition to the popular žbirići, Lucija Venier teaches her guests in workshops how to prepare homemade gnocchi, posutice, lasagna or fuži. When cooked, they are topped with pre-prepared beef mange or homemade tomato and zucchini salsa. This latter combination had to be introduced by Šjora Lucija because of the numerous vegetarians among her previous guests.
